Nixon was a piker compared to Barack Obama

So information continues to emerge in a drip, drip, drip fashion that Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm, MMM!) and others met in the White House on January 5, 2017 to discuss how to "get" LTG Mike Flynn.

Time will only tell what negative consequences the various bad actors at that meeting will face.  But if you appreciate political cartoons, then you might get a chuckle from this one.  It depicts a bathrobe-clad BHO at a bathroom sink, a morning newspaper at the side, with the headline "RUSSIA PROBE" clearly visible on the front page.  And it looks as if former President Obama is fretfully trying to wash his hands of the whole sordid stain otherwise soiling his appendages.  Oh, and the image reflected back to Obama from the bathroom mirror?  Priceless.

Yes, I know that Democrats and their fellow-travelers in the Gaslight Media will resoundingly proclaim that there wasn't "a smidgen" of corruption in the Obama White House.

To them, and to any of my Left-leaning friends out there, all I can say is this.  It is your right, of course, to believe what you want.  Even if you choose to believe Democrat deceit, deviousness, and duplicity.  But you will, I hope, understand if I don't join you in this deliberate embrace of deception.

Just because you choose to believe in the half-truths and outright lies told by Democrats doesn't make them true.  Or make your belief in them noble.

You can, of course, compel me through force of Law to comply with Democrat Talking Points or any other depraved Collectivist scheme.  But only to a point.  You cannot, however, convince me to surrender logic and reason in order to embrace the very willful blindness you've embraced.

I'll go even further, and say this.  You and your side may one day appropriate enough power and dominion over others that you can dispatch me at your command.  Remember, however:  you can kill me, but you can not make me yield.

At the beginning, middle, and end of the day, Democrat duplicity is and remains nothing more than despicable deceit.  Often it is cleverly cloaked deceit.  Sometimes it is very cleverly packaged deceit.  But deceit, deviousness, and duplicity it remains.

We often hear Democrat politicians and other Left-leaning individuals speak about "bending the arc of history."  It's just too bad that, in order to accomplish this particular "bending," their very own behaviors have utterly exposed their depraved and despicable willingness to break the Rule of Law into a thousand shattered and shambled shards.

Indeed, Obama actually did what Nixon may have only dreamed of.  Compared to the towering malfeasance of Obama, Nixon's actions look like those of an amateur and of a piker.

Just my 2¢.  Thanks for reading.  Cheers.

I am a happily married middle-aged man who served his country as a nuclear-trained US Navy sailor during the peacetime years of the late 1980s.  I re-entered civilian life before the First Gulf War.  Though I trained for war as part of my military duties, I saw no combat during my service.  War games were as close to combat, and its perils, that I ever got.

In civilian life I experienced a varied career, culminating with being a departmental Help Desk / Network Administrator / Computing Support technician in the University of Virginia's then-named Office of Development and Public Affairs. (The current reorganized / renamed department is now the University Advancement Office and University Communications.)

I got my first taste for political writing by posting comments to other writers' commentaries on American Thinker and The American Spectator web sites.  I posted my comments under the  user name "TwoShoes."

I still, on occasion, post comments on those sites using that moniker.  These days, however, most of my political commentary is now posted and published on the WesternFreePress.com site.
